It's February and the Tucson area of Arizona is once again alive with a variety of events that are sure to please a wide range of visitors. One of the most noted events of the region each year is the annual Tucson Gem, Mineral, & Fossil Showcase. Affectionately dubbed "the world's largest treasure hunt", the show runs until the 13th, and attendees can visit more than forty unique sites around the city, taking part in dozens of different shows.
These shows truly offer something for everyone! From prime exhibits of dinosaur fossils to glass beads, granite bookends to fine gold and diamonds, and even gems that have been dug and brought for display all the way from the Australian Outback, there is plenty of interest and intrigue.
The Tucson Gem and Mineral show is completely open to the public, and showcases displays from a variety of private collections, museums, and more than two hundred and fifty retailers of minerals, jewelry, gemstones, and fossils. Ishiner
